GS Uniforms - smDetermining Your Child’s Size

Before ordering, it is important that you measure your child and use the size charts provided on the Lands’ End website to determine what size to purchase. If in doubt, order more than one and return (to Sears) what you don’t need.

Additional Guidelines

  • Uniforms should appear neat at all times—ironed when needed.
  • Shirts must be tucked in at all times.
  • Belts should be brown braided leather and must be worn with all shorts and pants.
  • If an undershirt is worn, it should be white.
  • Hair should be styled in a way that is consistent with the spirit of this policy. Male students must wear their hair above the collar, eyebrows, and ears.
  • Jewelry and makeup (if worn) should be simple and tasteful.

Shoes/Socks/Tights

Shoes: Students should wear shoes that are comfortable and practical. Students may wear tennis shoes on any day but are required to wear tennis shoes on P.E. days. The style and color of shoes should in good taste. Girls may wear sandals on non-PE days, but sandals must have a back strap. Flip-flops, Crocs, slippers, boots, high heels (over 2″), or shoes with inappropriate graphics are not permitted.

Socks/Tights: There are no color restrictions on no-show socks. However, if a student chooses to wear longer socks or tights, they must be solid black, navy, gray, or white.  Fishnets and footless tights are not permitted.

Please note: Grammar School students should have at least one RED TGS monogrammed polo shirt in their wardrobe since they are required to be worn on field trips.

Lessons and Carols Dress Requirements:
Boys: Long pants, collared shirt, and dress shoes. Boys in grades 5 & 6 should also wear a tie.
Girls: Dress or skirt and blouse, and dress shoes.
