As Director of College Counseling, it is my privilege to guide students and parents through the college admissions process. I want students to be able to enjoy this season of hard work and preparation, as we all work together to discern the place of further education to which God is calling them. I look forward to giving each student the personal attention and guidance necessary to find the college that is a great fit for him or her. Effective teamwork among all parties involved—students, parents, teachers, and myself—is essential to accomplish a student’s college counseling goals.
Here at Geneva we utilize Naviance—a leading provider of internet solutions for high school counseling, enabling counselors and administrators to collect, analyze, and publish data while helping students and parents to make better career and college choices. More than 4,000 counseling professionals serving 600,000 students in 41 states and 20 countries use Naviance products.
My wife and I came to The Geneva School in the fall of 2010, seeking a pre-K school for our now oldest daughter, Alysandra. During those first two years at the early childhood campus, we fell in love with this wonderful community of faith and learning. During our second year, our family went through a personal hardship. The way in which the Geneva community responded to our needs in Christian love and service was amazing. It is that same spirit that I strive to emulate each day in the work I do with students and families.
