All Geneva School rhetoric students and faculty will begin the 2012–2013 school year by spending a few days together at Southwind Younglife Camp in Ocklawaha, FL. The purpose of this retreat is to promote the relationships among students, faculty, and administration. It will be especially valuable for the rising ninth graders and new students who will be joining the rhetoric school. These three days are designed to foster relationships and relax together in an informal camp setting.
The retreat is scheduled for the first three days of school, Wednesday–Friday, August 15–17. (Please note that students in grades Pre-K–8 do not start school until Thursday, August 16.) We will leave school on Wednesday morning and return home Friday afternoon, arriving back about 3:30 pm.
Consent and Release Form: Please fill out the online Consent and Release Form by May 18.
Cost: In order that every student in grades 9–12 is able to attend, the school is underwriting the cost of the retreat considerably. The cost per student for the retreat is only $80. This will include seven meals, lodging, and activities. $80 will be charged to accounts on July 1 of all families who have a student enrolled in 9th–12th grade for the 2012–2013 school year.
More detailed information regarding the specifics of the trip will be emailed to all rising 9th–12th grade families later in the summer and posted on this page.
