The soccer program at Geneva is strong, with district wins in the past few years for both the boys and girls varsity teams. This camp offers young athletes the chance to develop their game, with an eye to joining the ranks of the middle school and high school teams in the future!

TGS soccer camp (at the new upper school campus) will provide a fun environment to learn the basics and/or enhance the skills for those already playing the beautiful game of soccer. Campers will break into groups by skill and age to work on perfecting technical skills each morning, followed by small side games and scrimmage time each day. We believe in teaching fundamentals and encouraging players to have fun and enjoy the time with their peers on the pitch!

The camp is open to boys and girls and will be coached by TGS varsity girls soccer coach, and TGS parent, Tracy Talesnick. Coach Talesnick played college soccer and has been coaching both boys and girls for over fifteen years. She will also have some high school and/or college players assisting with coaching. This is an outdoor camp, but we will have a shaded area for water breaks. Please send your child with a water jug.

Scrimmage games will be played throughout the week. At the end of the week, awards will be presented for the gold glove champion and camper of the week. All campers will receive a T-shirt for their participation.

See you on the field!

Campers will practice and improve the fundamental shots (forehand, backhand, serve, and volleys) and then use those skills in exciting team games and competition. Water and plenty of shade will be provided on the Geneva upper school campus courts!

Coach Chris is a 2014 Geneva alum and a current varsity tennis coach, in addition to being USPTA and PTR certified.
