6th Grade Williamsburg & Washington, DC, Trip

After spending two years studying American history, sixth grade students journey to Virginia’s Historic Triangle and the nation’s capital. They will experience hands-on learning from the bounty of its museums, monuments, governmental and historical buildings, documents, and statuary. Their studies have taken them from the settling of Jamestown to the signing of the Declaration of Independence through various wars, presidents, and Supreme Court decisions. Sixth graders walk their history timeline through Jamestown, Yorktown, and Colonial Williamsburg. They take in the National Mall and explore buildings the leaders of our country have used to govern and build our nation. They visit the Capitol building, Mount Vernon, and many other national treasures. This trip of a lifetime with classmates brings to life the history of the government of our great nation.

• Travel Company: American Christian Tours (ACT)

• Cost: $2,339.00 (pricing for adults is $25 more than students). There will be an additional billing by Geneva during the spring semester (approx $25) to cover the student’s trip sweatshirt and picture IDs for the students to have while traveling.
