Aftercare Program

At The Geneva School (TGS), our aftercare program exists to provide a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for grammar school students who remain on campus beyond the end of the school day. Aftercare is offered on an as-needed basis.

Aftercare is offered for grammar school students every day after school until 5:30 pm. Aftercare is not offered on early dismissal days. Early dismissal days for the 2025–2026 school year are September 18, December 19, March 13, and May 22.

The information below includes information about start times, expectations, pickup procedures, and fees.

Aftercare Hours by Grade Level

  • Grammar school students not picked up during regular afternoon dismissal will be taken to aftercare and applicable fees charged.

  • K4 students: Aftercare charges begin at 1:15 pm. For the first two weeks of school, aftercare charges begin at 12:15 pm.

  • Kindergarten students: Aftercare charges begin at 2:15 pm. For the first two weeks of school, aftercare charges begin at 1:00 pm.

  • 1st–6th grade students: Aftercare charges begin at 3:15 pm.

Parent and Student Expectations

  • Aftercare is an extension of the school day, and students are expected to behave respectfully and kindly toward staff and peers.

  • Disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful behavior will be addressed in accordance with school disciplinary procedures.

  • Ongoing behavioral issues may result in a consultation from TGS administration and possible removal from the aftercare program.

  • Students should be picked up from aftercare by 5:30 pm each afternoon.

  • Ongoing late pickups may result in a consultation from TGS administration and possible removal from the aftercare program.

Aftercare Pickup Procedures

  • For safety purposes, please park in the grammar school parking lot and enter through the grammar school reception.

  • Parents must check in with the receptionist before proceeding to the grammar school picnic table pavilion for pickup.

  • All students must be signed out each day.

  • Please always check in with an aftercare team member before leaving with your child.

Aftercare Fees for 2025–2026 School Year

  • $8.50 per student per hour (rounded up to the nearest 15 minutes).

  • Kindergarten students with older siblings may go to aftercare and will not be charged if picked up along with older siblings by 3:15 pm. Exception: During the first two weeks of school, due to the earlier dismissal time, kindergarten students will be charged regardless of having a sibling in 1st–6th grade.

  • All supervision ends at 5:30 pm. If you are running late, please call the aftercare number at 321-422-0290 to alert the staff. Please leave a message if no one answers right away.

  • Late fees from 5:30 pm to 5:50 pm are $1.00 per minute per student.

  • Late fees after 5:50 pm are $2.00 per minute per student.
