Charlie, a TGS alumna from the class of 2018, returned to Geneva in 2024. She currently teaches 3rd–6th grade art. After working for the School of Art + Art History at the University of Florida and the education department at the Orlando Museum of Art, Charlie is grateful to once again be a part of the community that poured into her for so many years.
Charlie studied at Anderson University in South Carolina, earning her bachelor of arts in art education and art licensure. She then attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, developing an Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) art curriculum guide and earning her master of arts in art education.
As an artist, Charlie has had her work showcased at the Orlando Museum of Art and exhibited for organizations such as the National Art Education Association (NAEA). As an educator, Charlie strives to show her students that art has the potential to grant them a purpose, a medium to express themselves, a vehicle to advocate for the change they strive to see, and an opportunity to invoke the same passion in others.
