Kelly Muir
Math Teacher
Kelly joined the upper school mathematics faculty at The Geneva School in 2024 and currently teaches Honors Geometry. She began her teaching career in 2006 after graduating from Flagler College with degrees in accounting and business, later earning a master’s degree in educational leadership. Over the course of her career, Kelly has taught mathematics to students ranging from sixth through eleventh grade and has invested in students through tutoring and homeschool co-ops as well. Prior to joining Geneva, she spent four years teaching middle school mathematics with Florida Virtual School.
Kelly is passionate about helping students grow in both confidence and understanding, creating a classroom environment where learning is engaging, relational, and encouraging. She loves seeing students discover that they are capable of more than they imagined and values the opportunity to build meaningful connections with them each day.
Kelly and her husband, David, grew up in Punta Gorda, Florida, and moved to Orlando in 2011. They have three sons at Geneva: Ashton (Class of ’31), Wyatt (Class of ’33), and Owen (Class of ’35). As a family, the Muirs enjoy beach trips, snorkeling, hiking, and playing and watching sports together. They attend Mosaic Church and are actively involved with Young Life. They are grateful to be part of the Geneva community.
