After my son's first year at Geneva as a second grader, my family visited the Field Museum in Chicago. My eight-year-old son began telling my family about everything that we were viewing in the ancient Egypt exhibit in great detail, even sharing several stories that he had learned during the school year. I was amused as a group of people began to gather and join us as he essentially gave a tour through the exhibit. When his "tour" concluded, a wise older woman pulled me aside and said with great conviction, "Whatever school you have him in, keep him there." I already knew I loved The Geneva School, but this experience confirmed the formational power of a Christian classical education, and I am so grateful that my family could be a part of it.
It is my honor to serve at The Geneva School wherever I am needed. I began in 2015 and taught fifth grade for two years before moving to fourth grade to be a team leader. In 2018, I was asked to join the grammar school administration team as a director. I have served since then in director, assistant director, and even interim teacher roles. I absolutely love supporting students, teachers, and parents as we all continually strive to love beauty, think deeply, and pursue Christ's calling.
