Heidi Heinsch

Assistant Dean of Faculty Culture

Heidi Heinsch returned to The Geneva School in a very part-time role as assistant dean of faculty culture in 2026 after retiring just eighteen months earlier. She first joined Geneva in 2005 as a kindergarten teacher and later served as director of K4–2nd grade from 2011 through 2024. Although she officially retired on December 31, 2024, Geneva has always remained close to her heart, and she is thankful for the opportunity to continue investing in the students, teachers, and families she has grown to love.

A Minnesota native, Heidi met and married her high school sweetheart, Gregg. She began her teaching career in the public school system in 1981 before God called their family to Hudson, Wisconsin, where Gregg planted a church that eventually helped establish several daughter churches.

One of Heidi’s greatest joys was spending thirteen years at home raising their three children—Luke, Leah, and Taylor. She considers those years a precious gift and one of God’s sweetest callings in her life. As her children grew, she returned to the classroom in Hudson for several years before the family moved to Celebration, Florida, in 2005. Their daughter, Leah (TGS Class of 2006), and son, Taylor (TGS Class of 2010), graduated from The Geneva School, and Geneva soon became much more than a workplace—it became a community that has deeply shaped and blessed the Heinsch family.

Today, Heidi treasures being “Grandma” to ten grandchildren, three of whom made the long drive with her each day to attend Geneva for several years. She also considers it one of God’s greatest blessings to serve alongside her husband, Pastor Gregg Heinsch, at Celebration Community Church, where they have faithfully ministered since 2006.

Heidi’s passion has always been to cultivate a school culture where children are known and loved, teachers are encouraged, and families experience the grace of Christ. She believes education is about far more than academics; it is the sacred privilege of partnering with families to shape hearts to know and love Christ, pursue wisdom and virtue, and develop a lifelong love of learning. Above all, her desire is to love Jesus in all things and to reflect his grace and truth in every relationship.
