PE Teacher / Assistant Football Coach
Eric Johnson, along with his wife, Sara, relocated to the Orlando area from Michigan in the summer of 2021 in order for him to join The Geneva School fifth grade teaching team. After three years teaching fifth grade, Eric has embraced his love of coaching and currently teaches PE in the grammar school and serves as an assistant coach with the Geneva developmental football team. Eric loves seeing students use their God-given talents both on and off the field.
Eric received his elementary education degree from the University of Michigan with a focus on mathematics. He did his student teaching with first grade students and has a passion for all things sports. Eric played collegiate and professional roller hockey in Michigan but also enjoys playing golf and anything else that is competitive. He has coached the TGS 5th & 6th grade girls volleyball team and enjoys running summer camps at Geneva for students of all ages.
Eric and Sara have two children, Beau (born October 2023) and Lucy (born March 2025) and are delighting in everything that comes with being parents of two little ones. They attend Orlando Grace Church in Altamonte Springs. Away from Geneva, Eric enjoys playing golf and roller hockey, hitting up the parks and resorts at Disney, and going to New Smyrna Beach with Sara, Beau, and Lucy.
