Substutute Coordinator
Sara Johnson joined the Geneva family in 2021 when she moved with her husband, Eric, to Florida from Michigan. She taught for a year at Willow Creek Preschool in Winter Springs while also working in Geneva’s aftercare program. In 2022, Sara stepped into a new role as the school’s substitute coordinator, working closely with teachers while also continuing her role with the aftercare team. Sara and Eric welcomed a son in October 2023 and a daughter in March 2025. Sara continues to serve the school remotely as the substitute coordinator.
Sara attended Schoolcraft College in Livonia, MI, and earned a degree in special education and her certification to work in an SXI (severely multiply impaired) classroom. She worked with two other teachers in a high-needs classroom for three years. This gave her the experience she felt necessary to see all forms of learning and the patience required to love others well.
Sara loves being a part of this special school. An added bonus is being able to serve alongside Eric, a grammar school PE teacher at TGS. In her free time she enjoys beach days and exploring Florida with Eric, their golden retriever, and two children.
