Second Grade Teacher
Jenna Miranda joined the second grade teaching team in 2025. Originally from Chicago, IL, Jenna has called Orlando home since she started at the University of Central Florida in 2014. She studied elementary education and graduated in 2018 with a specialized focus in elementary education, ESOL, and reading. She began her teaching career with a year-long internship in third grade with Seminole County Public Schools and then spent five years in a variety of roles with Orange County Public Schools, teaching reading intervention, kindergarten, second, and third grade. One academic area that makes Jenna come alive is writing! She has written curriculum for CPALMS, an online resource forum for educators in the state of Florida.
Jenna has enjoyed many years of volunteering with local school districts, Junior Achievement, Young Life, Cru, One Child, Commission 127, and various churches in Orlando. In addition, she worked at Cru’s world headquarters in Orlando as a project manager in global operations.
Jenna and her husband, Mauricio, are currently enjoying their newlywed season, as they married in 2024. They have a mini goldendoodle, a dachshund, and an adorable herd of nieces and nephews. One can easily find Jenna at the farmer’s market, Disney, a fitness class, or spending time in God’s creation.
