Since the fall of 2010, Katie Deatherage has brought her passion for education and advancement expertise to The Geneva School. Her fundraising career spans over two decades, rooted in her time as a student volunteer at Furman University and followed by seven years as a development officer at Rollins College. During her tenure at Rollins, she successfully managed annual giving, community events, athletic fundraising, and major gift solicitations for comprehensive campaigns and other strategic initiatives.
Katie earned her BA in English literature from Furman University. Outside of work, she and her husband, Clay, love spending time with their two daughters, Mary Boyce and Ellie Closs.
