Kindergarten Aide
Sunshine Cross and her family became a part of the Geneva community in 2022. She began substituting in the lower school in the fall of 2024 and then joined the kindergarten team as an aide in December 2024. Prior to working at Geneva, she spent twenty years working in talent acquisition and various HR roles. Born and raised in Destin, FL, Sunshine attended UCF and graduated with a BS in public administration. After graduating college, she met her husband, Jeff, and moved to San Diego in 2004. They lived there for fifteen years, where they started their family and raised their three boys—all currently students at Geneva: Jacob (’27), Cooper (’29), and William (’30)—till they moved back to Orlando in 2019.
Sunshine has always had a passion for working with children and watching their joy for learning. She has also always been involved in her boys’ schools, volunteering in the classroom or school events. In San Diego, she was trained as a reading support member in the Everyone a Reader Program (EAR) to work one on one with students in first, second, and third grade. She also volunteered regularly in the children’s ministry at their church teaching Sunday School. The Cross family is so grateful that God led them to The Geneva School, and they have met so many wonderful families. In her free time, Sunshine enjoys reading, exploring the outdoors, and cheering her boys on at their various sporting events.
