Santiago Barragan
Santiago Barragan
Black Box Theater Manager / AV Arts & Sciences Teacher
Santiago Barragan joined The Geneva School in 2025 as the black box theatre manager. In this role, he oversees the technical aspects of school productions and coordinates stage setups to ensure that every performance runs smoothly, allowing students to shine on stage and glorify God with their talents. In 2026, he began teaching the AV Arts & Sciences elective in the rhetoric school. His experience in technical theater, information technology, and live productions combined with a genuine passion for creativity, problem-solving, and mentoring makes him uniquely suited to teach this course and help students develop both technical excellence and a deeper appreciation for the fine arts.
Born and raised in the small town of Arcadia, Florida, Santiago was active in his parish, St. Paul’s Catholic Church, where he served as an altar boy. Those early years of service in the church helped lay the foundation for his lifelong faith and commitment to Christ. After graduating high school in 2005, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps as an Aviation Ordnanceman. During his service, he completed two deployments to Iraq. Following his time in the military, he pursued higher education and earned an associate’s degree in information technology from Valencia College in 2015.
Santiago met his wonderful wife, Brittany, while serving in the Marine Corps, and they have been married since 2016. Together, they have two sons, Elijah Santiago (TGS Class of '36), and Elliott Cristian (TGS Class of '41). The Barragan family attends Action Church in Winter Park, where Santiago continues to grow in his faith and knowledge of God’s word. In his free time, Santiago enjoys fishing, riding bikes, hiking, and traveling. Above all, he is committed to serving his family, his church, and the community through his gifts and experiences.
