Dean of Students (7th–12th Grade Boys)

BS, DeSales University

Serving Geneva students as they navigate life, particularly in dialectic and rhetoric school, is at the heart of my role as dean of students (7th–12th grade boys) at The Geneva School. Building relationships with students and leading them as they grow in faith and wisdom are the principles that guide my work, from the hallways and classrooms to the courts and fields.

I joined The Geneva School in the fall of 2021, served as a dialectic PE teacher, upper school dean of students, and director of basketball, and now am privileged to serve the young men in the upper school as the dean of students (7th–12th grade boys). Anyone who knows me knows that I believe genuine relationships are the key to life. Authentic relationships change lives, and these kinds of relationships are built on trust. I delight in meeting Geneva students where they are, getting to know them, and helping them grow into the young adults they are called to be.

Prior to my time at Geneva, I worked from 1995 to 2000 as a recreation supervisor at KidsPeace, a national center for kids in crisis. When I relocated to Orlando, I spent a year as a psychiatric assistant at La Amistad, a residential treatment facility for adults and children, before being hired by Faith Christian Academy. At Faith Christian Academy, I had the honor of working with and serving students as the athletic director for twenty years and the head varsity men’s basketball coach for seventeen years. It was my privilege to see student athletes accomplish milestones at FCA such as 200 wins in December 2014 and 300 wins in January 2017.

Outside of life at Geneva, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Teresa, and our son fishing or at the beach, swimming pool, or church.
