Lambsey Hoang
Sixth Grade Teacher
Lambsey Hoang joined the sixth grade teaching team in 2025. Growing up, Lambsey wanted to be many things—a marine biologist, dentist, dermatologist, registered nurse, social worker—the list is long. Although she wasn’t sure exactly what she would do, one thing was certain: she wanted to pursue a profession that would offer a platform to help others. But never did “teacher” cross her mind. However, the Lord had a plan!
After receiving her bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, her mom encouraged her to substitute teach until she could map out next steps towards a career path. Lambsey never imagined that this would be the experience the Lord would use to kindle her heart for upper elementary education. During her return to graduate school to earn a master’s in teaching from Northeastern University, MA, Lambsey continued subbing for two years before she spent a few years building experience working as a long-term math specialist substitute at Martha Jones Elementary School and kindergarten and first grade educational assistant at Chickering Elementary School in Dover, MA. The Lord then opened the door to her very first classroom teaching opportunity as a fifth grade teacher at South Shore Christian Academy in Weymouth, MA, in August 2020. Those five years at SSCA are some of Lambsey's most treasured and joyful blessings. While sixth grade at The Geneva School is certainly a change of pace, culture, and dynamics, Lambsey is exceedingly grateful to have been granted another open door for the gospel and the opportunity to shepherd in truth the sixth graders the Lord Jesus gives her each year.
Aside from teaching, Lambsey enjoys traveling with her family, visiting both national parks and theme parks, hiking with her dog, and running!
