Lydia Menard
School Nurse
Lydia Menard joined The Geneva School community in 2025 as a parent and in 2026 as a grammar school nurse. She earned a bachelor's in food science and human nutrition with a dietetics specialization from the University of Florida in 2012, and she later pursued nursing school, receiving her degree from the University of Central Florida in 2017. Her professional experience includes work in weight-loss counseling, food distribution sales, and, most notably, the NICU at AdventHealth Orlando, where she discovered her deep passion for taking care of patients and supporting families during critical moments.
After the birth of her first child, Lydia chose to step away from her career and focus on raising her family. She and her husband, Matthew, are blessed with three children: Brooke (TGS class of ’38), Luke, and Henry. As Brooke began kindergarten at Geneva, Lydia developed a growing appreciation for Christian classical education and its impact on shaping both the hearts and minds of students and is thrilled to have the opportunity to serve the Geneva community. Lydia is passionate about health, nutrition, and education and is committed to helping children thrive physically, emotionally, spiritually, and academically. She considers it a privilege to support students and families as they pursue excellence in and out of the classroom.
Outside of work, Lydia enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, appreciating the beauty of God’s creation. She loves cooking, dancing classical ballet, reading to her children, and worshiping with fellow believers at church.
