David Langdon

Football Program Director and Head Football Coach

David Langdon joined the TGS athletic staff in 2023 as assistant athletic director and Geneva’s inaugural football program director and head coach. Prior to Geneva, he served as the athletic director and assistant head varsity football coach at Trinity Preparatory School, Winter Park. Geneva will be his fourth position as an inaugural football coach—he started the football programs at Cypress Creek High School, Pine Castle Christian Academy, and Orlando Christian Prep. David also served as the head coach for Dr. Phillips High School. He is a six-time Florida Athletic Coaches Association District Coach of the Year. He is also a former winner of the Herff Jones Metro Conference Boys’s Track and Field Coach of the Year Award. Coach Langdon currently serves on the leadership board for East Seminole County Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

David and his wife, Christina, have three adult children—twin daughters, Lilly and Melanie, and son, Kellen. The family worships at Church Together in Casselberry.

Elise Legg

Aftercare Coordinator

Elise joined the Geneva aftercare team in 2024 and is grateful to serve as the program coordinator. After moving to Florida when she was four, she grew up in Winter Park and graduated from Winter Park High School before earning her degree in psychology from UCF. Over the years, Elise has worn many hats, but being a mom will always be her favorite “job.”

Her journey into education began when she felt God leading her to work with young children. She spent twelve wonderful years teaching K4 through 3rd grade in Orange County Public Schools. In 2024, a mission trip to Brazil rekindled her passion for working with children and reminded her of how deeply she loves pouring into their lives. She’s thankful every day for the chance to serve in this role and to continue growing in her walk with Christ.

Elise has been married to her husband, Laird, since 2012 and counts him as one of the greatest gifts in her life. She has an adult son, a stepdaughter, and one very special grandson who brings her endless joy. She’s been part of the Northland Church family since 1991 and shares her home with two lovable cats—Wil, who keeps things interesting, and Mae, who’s always up for a snuggle. Time with her family is what she treasures most.

Anna Limber

Sixth Grade Aide

Anna Limber joined the TGS family in 2010 as a parent when her oldest, Evangeline, started kindergarten. Through volunteering and participation in school life, she has seen how invaluable the Geneva community is and is very thankful for this “village” in which God has so kindly placed her family. She joined the staff in the fall of 2022 as a sixth grade teachers aide.

Almost a Florida native (having lived in Central Florida since she was six years old), Anna graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2002 with a BA in Liberal Studies with focuses in Latin, humanities, and psychology. Over the years, she has taught and tutored Latin to homeschooled students, tutored all subjects in low-income public middle and high schools, taught ESL classes to adults, and taught children’s Sunday school. She has directed large VBS programs and coordinated events and programs at school and church and in the community. Prior to joining the TGS staff, she worked as a paralegal at a small law firm for eleven years where she thrived learning the legal system and using her knowledge and experience to help others. She enjoys being able to exercise her love of people, learning, and service to others.

Anna has been married to her husband, Matthew, since 2003. They have three children—Evangeline (class of ‘23), Ransom (class of ‘26), and Rory (class of ‘30). In her spare time, Anna enjoys researching and planning family vacations to new destinations—yes, the actual acts of research and planning! She also enjoys going on those vacations, baking, reading, playing board games, and spending time with friends and family. Anna and her family are active members of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church.

Terri Lorincz

Terri Lorincz joined the business office as an accounting assistant in 2021. Born and raised in Newport News, Virginia, Terri found herself at Virginia Tech for her undergraduate career. After serving as the CFO for William and Mary Law School for almost twenty years, Terri retired in 2019 ready to take on a new challenge: moving to Florida. Terri and Dave, her husband, along with their dog, Mac, moved to Central Florida so that they could enjoy living near their only daughter, Megan, and her husband, Don, who live and work in Deltona.

Terri and Dave enjoy small group fellowship at Deltona Alliance Church as they develop new Florida friendships. Both are Hokie alumni and enjoy keeping up with Hokie football with their family, eleven of whom, including Megan, are fellow Hokies! Terri is the middle of four children and is blessed to maintain friendships with all of her siblings, nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces/nephews that have not gone home to be with the Lord. When not working or at church, Terri enjoys singing, reading mysteries, and doing arts and crafts. She really enjoys the warm Florida winters!

Angela Maniscalco

The Maniscalco family joined the Geneva community in 2023 when they enrolled Giuliana (class of ’31) and Serena (class of ’34) at the school. Angela and Brian have been married since 2009 and live in Longwood. They enjoy their girls’ competitive sports (dance and gymnastics), traveling, golf, their big Italian family, and Florida State football! They attend Seminole Community Church, where you can spot them helping at most church events; Angela also serves in the VBS ministry each summer.

Angela has been working in early childhood education since 2004; she began her career in Tallahassee while attending Florida State University. She has enjoyed many years as a classroom teacher and many years in early childhood administration and development. More recently, Angela had the joy to teach in and grow the K4 program at Orangewood Christian School in Maitland.

Angela’s passion for young learners continues, and she is thrilled to serve little Geneva hearts in her capacity as a part-time aide for kindergarten. She is also excited to have more time to be a mama and taxi driver extraordinaire as she commutes the girls to gymnastics and dance most days after school. She also loves being able to volunteer in her girls’ classrooms.

Anna Manuel

Administrative Assistant to the Directors of the Lower School

Anna Manuel has worked at The Geneva School since 2006. Prior to assuming her current position as assistant to the lower school directors in 2021, she served as the third grade aide for fifteen years. Anna absolutely loved her time as an aide working closely with the teachers, parents, and students which allowed her to get to know a large part of our Geneva community very well. Although serving in a new role, Anna can still be found giving hugs and encouragement to students, stepping in to teach something if a teacher needs to momentarily step out, and providing wonderful hospitality to our families.

Anna and her husband David have two children, Austin (TGS Class of 2016, Orange County Fire Fighter Paramedic) and Ashlyn (TGS Class of 2018, Seminole State College). Anna volunteers with Will Work for Kids, an organization that helps fund extracurricular activities for kids. She loves country music, working out, and, of course, shopping for shoes! Anna is a member of Action Church and enjoys worshipping and serving with her church family.

Hollie Mariniello

Drama Teacher

Hollie Mariniello joined the drama teaching team 2018, directing the second and third grade students in drama class and in their plays. She fell in love with the classical education model while experiencing Geneva through her two children, Ella ’26 and Bishop ’28, and in turn fell in love with the Geneva community.

Born in a small town in Florida, Hollie first caught the acting bug when she landed her first role as Little Red Riding Hood while in her church’s pre-K class. She later got her first agent in Tampa and spent her teen years doing every play she could in addition to various modeling jobs before heading west to Los Angeles. There, she quickly got her SAG card and worked for many years with Kazarian Spencer & Assoc., with a five-year stint in New York where she signed with Abrams Artists. This was the beginning of a fruitful career/education of on-camera work including many national commercials, TV shows, movies, and print work. She studied for many years under the tutelage of Howard Fine as well as Uta Hagen and owes a great deal to both these talented teachers.

Hollie misses many aspects of her career since her husband’s job brought them back to Florida in 2013, but she loves their new life with its many connections to the body of Christ here in Orlando and wouldn’t trade it for anything. Hollie’s favorite thing about acting is the fact that it is, in its essence, the study of human behavior. She loves to explore the endless complexities of the one creation God made in his very own image. She is very excited to share her passion and experience with the Lord’s precious little ones and use it in a way to ignite their imaginations while pointing them to Christ.

Hollie resides in Orlando with her husband, Tony, two children, Ella and Bishop, and a menagerie of animals … she dreams of having her own cow one day! She is a member of and loves her new Florida church-home at NorthPark Baptist in Baldwin Park.

Meredith McMurtrie

Kindergarten Teacher

Meredith McMurtrie joined the Geneva kindergarten team in 2022, bringing years of experience in both public and independent Christian schools. She graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2006 with a BS in Elementary Education and has spent her entire career in the kindergarten classroom. Meredith was blessed with teachers who poured their love and knowledge into her, while making learning purposeful and meaningful and she desires to have the same impact on her students.

Meredith loves the innocence of kindergarten students—their giggles, hugs, endless stories, and inquisitive minds. She enjoys forming relationships with her students and families, while making memories and building connections that the children will carry with them for years to come. Meredith feels blessed to not only pour into the students academically, but to be a part of their spiritual foundation. Through her daily classroom routine, her hope is that seeds of the truth of Jesus Christ will lead to their eternal salvation and that they will know and feel his great love.

Meredith lives in Orlando and is mother to two young boys, Jase (TGS class of ’34) and Sawyer (TGS class of ’38). Meredith’s hobbies include all the fun that encompasses being a boy mom primarily fishing, swimming, and playing any and all sports.

Teresa Medina

Digital Photography Teacher / Youth Sports Assistant

Teresa came to Geneva in 2021 and, after a period of time in the business office, currently teaches Photo I and III and serves in the athletic office with photography, youth sports, and other administrative assistance. Prior to joining Geneva, Teresa served for eight years as an administrative assistant and yearbook/photography teacher at a local Christian school. Prior to working in the Christian school environment, Teresa served for several years as the photography operations manager for the second largest school picture company in the US, responsible for the logistics of photographing over 70,000 school-aged children in the Central Florida area.

Teresa attends church at Sanctuary Church Orlando together with her husband, Tony, and son, Mateo. Teresa enjoys photographing sports action and can often be found on the sidelines of her son’s games with a camera in hand. The Medina family also enjoy hosting international students and have had the privilege of doing this for nine consecutive years.

Tony Medina

PE Teacher / Director of Basketball

Tony Medina joined The Geneva School in the fall of 2021 as the substitute teacher coordinator and assistant facilities manager. Beginning June 2022, he transitioned to the position of director of basketball in addition to the role of dialectic PE teacher.

Prior to coming to Geneva, Tony served as the athletic director at Faith Christian Academy for twenty years and the head varsity men’s basketball coach for seventeen years. Tony reached several coaching milestones at FCA as the varsity men’s basketball coach, including 200 wins in December 2014 and 300 wins in January 2017. Tony was named three times FHSAA District Coach of the Year. In 2017, Tony turned over the basketball program to the assistant AD in order to spend more time with his son and help develop his son’s love for basketball and coach his AAU team.

Tony holds a BS in Sports Administration from DeSales University in Lehigh, PA. He was a standout for the DeSales men’s basketball team from 1991–95 and was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame at DeSales University in the fall of 2014. Tony worked from 1995–2000 as a recreation supervisor at KidsPeace, a national center for kids in crisis. He then relocated to Orlando and spent a year as a psychiatric assistant at La Amistad, a residential treatment facility for adults and children, before being hired by FCA.

When not found on a court or field fostering relationships with student athletes, Tony enjoys spending time with his wife and son fishing or at the beach, swimming pool, or church. Tony and his wife attend Sanctuary Church Orlando. Tony believes that genuine relationships are the key to life, and his favorite Scripture is Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

Kacie Melvin

Music Teacher

Kacie Melvin joined the TGS music faculty in April 2023 and currently teaches music in the lower school. In addition to teaching at Geneva, Kacie also currently serves at First Baptist Orlando as the choir director and worship leader for the traditional service.

Kacie studied at Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, FL, where she received her BM in Education in December of 2004. She studied voice with Grammy Award–winning mezzo-soprano, Marilyn Mims. She completed her student teacher internship at the prestigious Bak Middle School of the Arts serving under the direction of Connie Drosakis. Kacie graduated summa cum laude and was recognized as the Outstanding Graduate for the School of Music and Fine Arts as well as a Woman of Distinction scholar.

Kacie’s music experience ranges from singing in church choirs, school choirs, and show choirs in high school and college, playing French horn for twelve years, serving as drum major in high school for two years, and playing in the pep band in college. Kacie also served as an interim church choir director at the age of seventeen.

From 2005–2015, Kacie taught music at Choices in Learning Elementary Charter School in Winter Springs. This included leading the 3rd grade choir, 4th/5th grade choir, ukulele club, and recorder club. She had the privilege of taking students to the Florida Music Educators Association annual conference for Elementary All-State Choir from 2007–2015. Kacie was given the honor of Teacher of the Year in 2013. She also received her Orff Level I certification in 2014.

Kacie resides in Winter Springs with her husband, Bret, and their two children, Harmony (TGS Class of ’34) and Shepherd (TGS Class of ’36). Kacie is a Florida native and pastor’s kid who enjoys Sudoku puzzles, acquiring unicorns, deal finding, Amazon product-testing, concert going, exercising, and baking.

Eric Mendez

Music Teacher

Eric Mendez joined the TGS music faculty in 2022. His duties include directing the dialectic and rhetoric bands, rhetoric orchestra, chamber orchestra, and jazz band.

Eric is a product of Orange County Public Schools, having attended Conway Junior High, Colonial High School, and Valencia Community College. He received his bachelor’s degree in music education from Florida State University in 1988. He holds membership in the Florida Bandmasters Association (FBA), National Association for Music Educators (NAfME), and Florida Music Education Association (FMEA).

Prior to working at Geneva, Eric taught middle school band in Central Florida public schools for thirty-four years, holding positions at Lake Gibson Middle School (Lakeland), Jackson Heights Middle School (Oviedo), Discovery Middle School (Orlando), and, finally, at Maitland Middle School for twenty-two years. Throughout his career, Eric’s bands received consistent superior ratings at FBA events. The Maitland Wind Ensemble played to musical standards rarely achieved at the middle school level. The group was chosen to perform a concert hour at the 2010 FMEA convention. In that same year, they also performed at the American School Band Directors Association (ASBDA) summer convention in Orlando.

Eric is an active adjudicator and clinician, serving districts throughout Florida. He has been an All-County clinician for many Florida counties. He was also chosen to lead the All-State Middle School Honors Band for 2013. In addition, he serves as a sectional coach and substitute orchestra director with the Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra.

Alongside his duties at Geneva, Eric is a devoted husband to his wife, Angie, a devoted father to his children, Zachary, Hannah, and Claire, and a loving grandfather to his two grandchildren, Jackson (TGS Class of ’38) and Isla (future TGS Knight). He is also active as a leader at Metro Life Church.

Timothy Miller

Receptionist

Timothy joined the Geneva team in 2022 as a receptionist. A UCF graduate, he is now attending Reformed Theological Seminary, Orlando (RTS) in pursuit of an MDiv. A hardcore Minnesotan at heart, Timothy has spent the better part of his life in Florida and has recently come around to the idea that Florida isn’t so bad after all.

He is a longtime member of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church and is very active in the community and ministries of the church. As he has served at St. Paul’s, God has continued to stir up a passion in Timothy for Christ’s church. He looks forward to applying what he is learning at RTS to encourage and minister to the church. In his spare time, Timothy enjoys spending time with friends and family, and is an avid reader, coffee connoisseur, and musician.

Tamara Molyneaux

French Teacher

After growing up in the Endless Mountains of Pennsylvania, Tamara Molyneaux studied international languages at Grace College in Indiana, L’Université de Bourgogne in France, and the Volkshochschule Reutlingen in Germany. She also has experience teaching Spanish, English as a second language, cultural anthropology, German, drama, writing, poetry, and second and fifth grades.

She joined The Geneva School faculty in 2012 to teach French and Latin. She currently teaches French to 9th–12th grade students and leads the Best Books Club.

Tamara loves to read and to write and has published two books of poetry: Words of Air (2014) and Treading Air (2016) as well as a novel, The Back Road Home (2020). Tamara enjoys the luxury of year-round, beautiful Florida weather! She loves to hike, birdwatch, swim, snorkel, kayak, and bike.

Annie Muether

Librarian

Annie Muether joined her mom, Kathy Muether, in Geneva’s library in 2017. She had long suspected that her mom had the world’s most fun job (where she occasionally assisted during summer breaks), and now she has found out for herself that this is true. Kathy retired from the Geneva library, after twenty-two years of dedicated service, in May of 2021 and Annie was privileged to take over fulltime library duties beginning in the fall of 2021.

Annie graduated from Covenant College with a BA in English. One of her favorite courses was children’s literature and she enjoyed sharing her mom’s enthusiasm for children’s classics. In 2019, she graduated from Florida State University with a Master of Science in Information with an emphasis in youth services and children’s literature. In 2024, Annie was the lower grammar school (K4–2nd grade) recipient of the Paideia Award for Teaching, an award that recognizes excellence in teaching.

When she is not reading, Annie enjoys spending time with her nephews and niece and her high-energy Boston Terrier, Shamu.

Kelly Muir

Math Teacher

Kelly joined the Geneva upper school mathematics team in 2024 and after teaching seventh grade pre-algebra for a year she curently teaches geometry to ninth graders. She started her teaching career in 2006 after graduating from Flagler College with degrees in accounting and business. She later went on to earn a master’s in educational leadership. Kelly has taught mathematics across a range of grades from sixth grade to eleventh grade. In addition to tutoring numerous students, she has also contributed to homeschool co-ops. Prior to teaching at Geneva, Kelly served as a middle school mathematics teacher on the Florida Virtual School platform for four years. She is thrilled to be back in the classroom, sharing her passion for learning and mathematics with her students while also forming meaningful relationships with them.

Kelly and her husband, David, grew up in Punta Gorda, Florida, and moved to Orlando in 2011. They have three boys at Geneva: Ashton (class of ’31), Wyatt (class of ’33), and Owen (class of ’35). The family enjoys going to the beach, snorkeling, hiking, and playing and watching sports together. The Muirs worship at Mosaic Church and are very involved in the mission of Young Life. They love being a part of the Geneva community.

Abby Noble

Music Teacher

Abby Noble came to Geneva in 2018 and guides curriculum and instruction for the music program, K4–12. She directs the Rhetoric Choir and Ladies Choir, and in 2022 began the dialectic choral program for 7th and 8th grade students. In 2021 she started the TGS Worship Team for 7th–12th grade students to learn to lead the upper school chapel services each month. In 2019 she founded the Brioso Children’s Choir, serving Geneva students in grades 3–6.

Abby graduated magna cum laude from The Florida State University with her degree in choral music education and a certificate in voice performance. Prior to college, Abby sang with the Gulf Coast Youth Choirs for ten years, experiencing the life-changing power of a singing community. Her director lit a spark that inspired her career to change the lives of young people through music. Many of her best memories, friendships, and travel opportunities have been a result of her involvement in choral ensembles.

In 2016, Abby completed her master’s in choral music education from FSU, finishing her final term at the FSU Study Center in London. She studied music education and conducting with Dr. Judy Bowers, Dr. Kevin Fenton, and Dr. Andre Thomas. Before coming to Geneva, Abby taught chorus, piano, and vocal techniques at Viera High School and Boone High School. Choirs under her direction consistently received top ratings at district and state performance festivals.

Abby is married to her wonderful husband Dwayne. They enjoy traveling, being outdoors, and seeing the world through the eyes of their three young children: Lucas (’35), Ezra (’38), and Isaac (future Knight).

Alison O'Donoghue

K4 Aide

Alison was born and raised in Florida and enjoyed a Geneva School education from kindergarten until her graduation in 2015. She studied hospitality management at Florida Gulf Coast University with the intent of going into club management, but God had other plans! Alison welcomed her daughter, Ava, in September of 2018; soon after Ava’s birth, Alison began nurturing young hearts at Willow Creek Preschool, working her way up to lead teacher during her four years there. Alison loves watching young students grow in body, mind, and spirit, and she especially enjoys hearing their insightful and often hilarious candid conversations with each other.

In 2023, Ava entered Mrs. Stewart’s K4 class at Geneva. As Alison witnessed Ava’s growth in academic accomplishments, social skills, and her knowledge and love for Jesus, she dreamed of one day returning to Geneva as a staff member. In 2024, that dream came true, and Alison currently serves as a K4 aide. She aspires to serve with the same dedication, love, and joy she and Ava have both experienced as students at TGS.

In her spare time, Alison loves creating with her Cricut, spending time with her large, extended Florida family, and visiting Disney parks with Ava.

Isabel O'Driscoll

School Counselor

Isabel O’Driscoll joined the Geneva family in 2004 when her oldest daughter Katie started at Geneva. In 2006 she joined the team of TGS support staff and in 2012 she became part of the newly developed student services department and serves as the school counselor. In this role she develops and manages programs and events designed to enhance the student experience. She also oversees the development of service plans for students with learning differences and finds support for struggling students. Isabel works alongside the dean of students to provide additional support when needed. She loves students and counts it a privilege to assist them in any way she can.

Isabel has an undergraduate degree in psychology and counseling and a MA in Mental Health Counseling. She has a private counseling practice in Maitland. She also co-founded Orlando Children’s Church, a non-profit ministry that reaches out to children living in poverty in the greater Orlando area. The Orlando Children’s Church meets on Saturday mornings and ministers to over five hundred children and teens.

Isabel has three Geneva graduates: Katie (TGS class of 2009) who is a firefighter/paramedic with Orange County, Michaela (TGS Class of 2012) who is a resident at University of Washington in Seattle, and Annie (TGS Class of 2017) who is attending UCF.

Allison Parker

Fourth Grade Aide

Allison joined The Geneva School staff as a teachers aide in 2024 and currently serves the fourth grade team. Allison and her husband, Zac, attended Oklahoma Baptist University, where she received a degree in public relations. They spent ten years in Louisville, KY, where Zac received his master of divinity and they served together in the college ministry of their church. In 2012, they moved to Indianapolis and ministered in a church plant, and their two children, Stone and Ainsley, attended a Christian classical school.

After moving to Florida at the beginning of 2024, her family was introduced to The Geneva School. She instantly knew this was where God was calling her family to be. Stone (TGS Class of ’28) and Ainsley (TGS Class of ’30) are both students at TGS.

Allison believes that investing in children by raising them in a godly school is just as important as creating a foundation in a Christ-centered home. These beginning years are pivotal for the years to come, and Allison delights in being a part of a team that strives each day to nurture and impact students for the kingdom.

In her spare time, Allison and her family enjoy exploring Florida, being outside, and serving and worshiping together at Orlando Grace Church. They also have two labrador retrievers to keep them busy!

Kristin Partlow

School Nurse

After graduating from Mount Carmel College of Nursing in Columbus, OH, in 2008 with a BSN, Kristin worked on an adult cardiac unit for two years at Mount Carmel East. She has always had a love for children and felt called to the neonatal ICU, where she worked as a NICU nurse for eight years in Ohio and at AdventHealth Winter Park. In 2019, Kristin continued her call of caring for children when she joined the The Geneva School nursing team as a part-time lower school nurse.

Kristin is married to her husband Jeff, and is the mother of three children: Blake, Madison, and Violet. She enjoys being active and spending time with her family. She also enjoys vacationing, wakesurfing, snowboarding, and working out.

Julia Patenaude

Third Grade Aide

The Patenaude family joined the Geneva community in 2022 when they enrolled their children at The Geneva School: Berlyn (’28), Olive (’31), Hazel (’33), and Abel (’35).

Julia was born and raised in Florida. While earning a degree in interior design, she met and married her husband, Jacob. They welcomed their first child in 2009, and Julia had the privilege of being a stay-at-home mom until joining the 3rd grade team in 2023.

If Julia is not at work or caring for her family, you will most likely find her on the tennis courts. She joined the Geneva Love tennis team in 2023. She counts it a blessing to be on a team with so many wonderful Geneva moms.

David Petrak

Director of Technology

David has been the technology manager at Geneva since 2004. He received his BS in Mathematics from Iowa State University, and his Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Reformed Theological Seminary.

David has been married to his wife Erin since 1992. They have been members of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church since 1996, and enjoy the blessings that come with being parents to two daughters: both Geneva alumna having completed K4–12 at TGS.

Erin Petrak

K4 Teacher

Erin and her husband, David, moved to Florida in 1995 so he could attend Reformed Theological Seminary. After finding St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, they soon made Orlando home. Erin received her BA in history at the University of Central Florida and then worked at the Maitland Historical Society and Museums as the volunteer coordinator and director of educational programming before Erin and David had children.

In 2010, Erin joined the TGS early childhood team as a teachers aide when her youngest entered the K4 program. During her time at Geneva, she has cultivated a deep understanding of the classroom environment and the beauty and benefits that come with a classical education. In 2024, when Geneva opened a third K4 class, Erin made the transition from aide to teacher.

Erin is passionate about creating a safe classroom environment where mistakes are a part of learning and students are encouraged to revel in wonder as they learn about our God and the world he created. She considers the opportunity to get to know the students and their families a great privilege and loves to see former students in the halls.

In her spare time, Erin enjoys reading, cooking, hiking, and spending time with her girls—Tabitha (class of ’21) and Samantha (class of ’25).

Marty Phillips

Head Cross Country Coach

Marty Phillips joined The Geneva School in the summer of 2022 as the cross country coach, and has over thirty years of coaching experience. His leadership skills and coaching style first emerged while he was still in high school and was chosen to be the captain of the cross country team. As the captain, he learned how to properly train as a distance runner and planned the workouts for the varsity team. Phillips would go on to set several school records for distance running and upon graduation received a scholarship for cross country at the University of Central Florida.

Once at UCF, Marty continued to grow in his knowledge and experience of the sport, but attributes his greatest influence as an emerging coach to one evening spent at an FCA event. It was here that Phillips first learned about sin and the reason Jesus went to the cross. Accepting Christ to be his Lord and savior, Marty began to see coaching as a God-given opportunity to serve others.

After college, Marty continued to compete in local races with continued success and also studied three dimensional coaching, which emphasizes how to capture the heart of the athlete. Marty has been married to the love of his life, Amy, since 2020 and they have three children. Coach Phillips attends Willow Creek Church where he serves as a deacon.

Crystal Prado

Second Grade Aide

Crystal Prado joined the second grade team as a teachers’ aide in 2021. She joined the TGS community in 2019, when her son Dyson started in kindergarten, and quickly fell in love with Christian classical education. She has fulfilled the roles of room mom, SALT co-captain, and volunteer whenever she was able.

Crystal graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2013 with a BS in Psychology. That same year, she married her husband, Luis Prado. From 2016–2021, she stayed home to care for her children, Dyson (TGS Class of ‘32) and Davina (TGS Class of ‘35).

Crystal developed a love for teaching when she began volunteering for Crosspointe Orlando’s kids ministry in 2016. She began as a helper in order to learn more about pointing her own children toward Jesus, but she quickly moved into the role of teacher and then the lead of the preschool team. In 2019, Crystal moved to Proximity Church in Orlando, and her love for worship and singing to the Lord led her to explore new avenues of service. She currently serves on the worship team and also as a substitute helper/teacher in the children’s ministry whenever the need arises.

Crystal loves animals, especially her Siberian husky, Sybi, who her family adopted in 2021. She enjoys serving on the worship team, crafting and creating, using her talents and capacity to serve others, and spending quality time with her family.

Rachel Proctor

Accountant

Rachel joined The Geneva School accounting team in the spring of 2025. She earned her BA in Accounting from Tarleton State University and has used her accounting degree in various industries including construction, restaurant, and government (community development districts). Rachel is thankful for the skills and knowledge she has learned over her career and is grateful for the opportunity to bring them to Geneva.

Rachel is originally from Texas but moved to Florida in January of 2013. Her love of the outdoors, rain, and the beach have kept her in Florida. Her two cats Otis and Rizo keep her entertained and cozy. Rachel enjoys travelling, reading, and gardening. She absolutely loves music—all genres … well, except country music!

Keira Raesly

Keira Raesly joined The Geneva School faculty in 2015. She taught fourth and fifth grade before moving into an administrative role as a director of lower school in 2018. In 2023, Keira transitioned to the position of lower school assistant director. After graduating from the University of Central Florida in 2000 with a BS in Social Science Education, she spent two years teaching American History, World History, Economics, and Global Studies at Lake Mary High School. Although she loved teaching, she decided to gain experience working in a corporate environment before beginning a family. Keira was able to fulfill that experience at CNL until stepping down to stay home with her children in 2008. In 2010, she felt called to pursue an MA in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida. It has been a wonderful journey and she was grateful for the opportunity to teach at Brookshire Elementary before being led to The Geneva School.

Keira met her husband Chris when they were both undergraduate students at UCF and they have been married since 2002. They have been blessed with two children who are very grateful for their Geneva education, Ella (’24) and Blake (’26). The family worships at Orlando Grace Church and serves together on the hospitality team. In her spare time, Keira delights in a simple life of being home with her family and their menagerie of pets.

Nathan Raley

Senior Thesis Director

Nathan Raley leads seniors through the Capstone Senior Thesis. Previously at Geneva he has taught Rhetoric and Christian Thought, AP English, Debate, and French. A graduate of Davidson College and the Université de Provence, Nathan’s work in education goes back to 1999, when he coordinated a program in the spiritual life department at Houston Baptist University. He has also taught French, debate, literature, and Bible courses at schools in Texas and Massachusetts. Nathan has written articles for the Journal of the Society for Classical Learning, has helped revise a text for the Classical Academic Press, and has been a scorer for the essay section of the SAT.

Nathan believes that a liberal arts education does more than just prepare students to navigate the complexities of life and career in the modern world. Ideally, the liberal arts help us grow in virtue and live as free people. Nathan wants his students to love learning and to approach God’s Word and world with awe, pleasure, and appreciation. Additionally, as a rhetoric teacher, he strives to help his students grow in their understanding of the great potential–for good or ill–that we have with our words.

Nathan spent about half his childhood overseas as a missionary kid in France and Southeast Asia, and he spent a year as an adult in Aix-en-Provence, France, as a Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholar. He loves reading, cooking, juggling, fishing, doing judo with his son Micah, and spending time with his wife Gretchen, who is a mental health counselor. The Raleys attend Lake Baldwin Church.
