Student Supplies
SUPPLIES FOR K4–6th GRADE (2023–2024)
School supplies necessary for students in K4–6th grade are purchased and placed in classrooms ready for the first day of school. The cost of supplies is added to an activity fee divided between two payments billed to accounts in September and January. Geneva benefits both from our tax-exempt status and bulk pricing. The cost is no more than $65 per student.
PLEASE NOTE: All K4 students will receive a special small TGS backpack in their supply package. It will be available for students to pick up at Meet the Teacher on Monday, August 14.
ITEMS NOT INCLUDED IN ACTIVITY FEE BILLING: At each grade level, there are a few items that are not included in the activity fee billing. These are items that parents supply and other items that may or may not need to be replenished every year.
The following are items that may need to be replenished this year, and will be available from the SCHOOL STORE during the summer.
- Grammar School Sketchbook (2nd–6th grade) – $11: New 2nd–6th grade students should purchase a sketchbook from the school store. Returning 2nd–6th grade students may use up remaining pages in last year’s sketchbook or purchase a new one at the school store. Please Note: This item is included in the 1st grade supply package, so 1st grade parents do not need to purchase a sketchbook.
- ESV TruTone Thinline Bible (5th & 6th grade) – $24: 5th & 6th grade students may bring an ESV Bible from home or purchase this one through the school store. Returning students may bring the Bible they received at the 4th grade knighting ceremony. ISBN 9781581346541.

DEVICE REQUIREMENTS FOR 7th–12th GRADE
Students in 7th and 8th grade are given a Google Apps for Education account and are expected to have access to a computer with internet capabilities and a printer at home. They are not required or allowed to bring a device to school since a school-provided and managed Chromebook will be used in 7th and 8th grade classes when needed for classroom assignments.
Students in 9th–12th grade are given a Google Apps for Education account. For general classroom use, students in 9th grade may bring a device to school if they wish but are not required to do so. Students in 10th–12th grade are required to bring a device to school for general classroom use. A low-cost Chromebook (11-inch screen recommended) is an excellent device for general classroom use. Please note that 9th–12th grade students in some rhetoric elective classes (Journalism/Yearbook, Photography, Student Magazine, Introduction to Computer Science, Audio Visual Arts & Sciences) are required to bring a Windows or Mac laptop. In addition, students should have access to the internet and a printer at home.
