Rhetoric Choir Spring Tour 2024

On Friday, April 5, the Rhetoric Choir will venture down to South Florida. This year’s choir tour will expose the students to two universities and music departments, the beauty of the Palm Beaches, and some Florida history. Friday morning we drive directly to Palm Beach Atlantic to have lunch, tour the campus, and visit with Dr. Santiago, the Director of Choral Activities, before heading to dinner in the charming downtown area. Saturday morning the students will spend the day in nature, first exploring the Palm Beach Zoo and then enjoying the beautiful Lake Worth Beach Park. Sunday morning we depart West Palm for Ft. Lauderdale to sing and participate in the traditional service at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church, a prominent congregation which has been a leader in Christian culture and apologetics for decades. From there the students head to Miami’s Vizcaya Estate and Gardens, see Puccini’s La Boheme, and/or take in the sights from the Miami SkyViews wheel. Monday morning, we cap off this extended weekend of musical growth and bonding with a choral exchange with Dr. Quist and UM’s Frost Chorale before beginning our drive back to Geneva.
